I love to twist inspiration from fashion and music magazines with renaissance paintings. Don’t worry, I won’t see you as a Jackson Pollock!, but I might just pose you in front of a backdrop that reminds me of his work. If its there, I want to capture that old school ‘national geographic’ emotion (usually minus the nakedness!).

I created images that are not just art. Thats what you were like in your life at that moment.

My artistic life is my life. Creativeness is a family trait. I come from a family of artisans who can’t help but create…… painters, woodcarvers, musicians, gardeners, floral designers, writers, knitting masters, fashionistas, carpenters, photographers..and more. Can you imagine a family that made their gifts every year? Right now I am teaching my daughter how to use her camera. She just taught me how to snap my fingers (which I am not very good at).

So you must be here because  you are looking for someone to follow you all day on ‘The Day’. You want something more than pictures or ‘snapshots’ of your event.  You want some gorgeous artwork from it, because after all, you probably are going to spend at least a year planning for this day, and after its done, the only thing you will have left are each other and your images.

If you hire me for your wedding, you are going to get a mix of beautiful portraits, and some awesome documentary style ones as well. I just might capture a beautiful image of you giving your speech with tear in your eye, as well as one with that child in the background who is picking his nose (true story). (You might not hang that on your wall, but I bet you’ll snicker and pull out that picture when that kids a teenager.)

Why do I love my job? How many people out there can say they go to work and everyone they see is happy?

When I photograph a wedding, everyone is so joyful that they pass that positive energy onto me. I love it. I love the excitement of a couple who saw how beautiful their wedding really was through my images.
